Dentil Mouldings
Generally
Dentils (also known as corbels or modillions) offer a
decorative element ideally suited to more exclusive homes
and apartments. Our dentils are moulded in polyurethane
and pre-finished in a satin white to match the finish of
our fascia and soffit systems.
Installation
New Work
On new work, these dentils should be fixed to the soffit
before the soffit is installed. This is done by screwing
through the back of the soffit into the larchwood footplate
at the required intervals and then lifting the soffit (with
dentils attached) and fixing to the roofline in the normal
manner.
Refurbishment Work
Refurbishment work is slightly different because you will
not be afforded the opportunity of fixing the dentils through
the back of the soffit. In this instance you must unscrew
the larchwood plate and remove from the dentil. Fix the
larchwood plate to the existing soffit with screws. The
dentil can now be placed over the larchwood plate and fixed
into position by either glue or discreetfixed with 30mm
polypins.
