Delivery Charges

UK Delivery Service (for Highlands, Islands & N. Ireland unfortunately surcharges will apply, see further down page) 

We have 4 basic delivery charges as follows:-

Category 1 Boxable Items up to one metre in length £9.99
Category 2 Items over one metre and up to 5.5 metres in length £30.00
Category 3 Heavy Awkward Items  £40.00
Category 4 Millboard decking £80.00

It works like this. If you order, for instance, any number of items in category 1 the charge will be £9.99. However, as soon as you add a product to your cart tfrom category 2 the price will change to £30.00. Or if you add an item from No 3 the price will change to £40.00. The higher delivery charge will always prevail as soon as you add an item from that category to the cart.

There is no minimum or maximum limit. You can order as little as you like although one small gutter bracket is still going to cost £9.99 because we send by registered courier in a box with insurance.

We often get asked by customers wishing to purchase a single small item like a gutter bracket whether we can put it in a jiffy bag and send it in the post. The answer to that is, yes, if it fits in a jiffy bag, however if we send via this method we will not accept any claim for losses or damages. Accordingly, you are best advised to stick to the insured method so that you are covered.

There is however one exception and that is replacement rubber gutter seals and clips in the Terrain range. The delivery charge for sending these out is actually £5.00 because they are fairly inexpensive and can easily fit into a jiffy bag.

THE COST OF CARD, BUBBLE WRAP AND OTHER PACKAGING MATERIALS HAVE RISEN STEEPLY ALONG WITH THE COURIER COSTS ASSOCIATED IN SENDING OUT LONG LENGTH PACKAGES

When Can I Expect Delivery ?

The below is an indication based on our best expected courier service levels. Unfortunately, all couriers are taking a lot longer to deliver than we would like so please do not make any arrangements for workmen until you are in receipt of the goods.

Items longer than one metre will be sent via alternative courier and can take up to 5 working days from ordering point. Please note that in some instances we may not be able to transport in 5 metre lengths and will seek permission from you to cut the product down to a maximum of 4 metre or less (you will be prior advised and given the option to cancel for a full refund if you so wish)

   
Ordering at weekend, when will I receive?

Tuesday (only applies to boxable items under  one metre)

What happens if you have insufficient stock? We will advise, in some cases we will deliver what we have and follow on with any outstanding items but in most cases we will hold the order until we can transport in full.
   
Is it quicker to telephone in with an order? You can if you wish but it could take longer for you to receive the goods, see below*

Once your goods have been picked and packaged you will receive an email from us advising you that your order has left our depot. This email will tell you how many packages are being delivered to you and by what courier. Goods up to one metre will be delivered at some point during the next working day normally between 8am - 6pm. It is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to check and sign for the goods when they arrive. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR COURIERS ARE SOMETIMES TAKING LONGER THAN  24 HRS TO DELIVER AT THE MOMENT DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL. 

Please do not organise any workmen or labour until you have received the goods in useable condition as no claim will entertained by us for any delays or extra costs associated with labour, down time or indeed any other consequential loss of any kind or for whatever reason.

* Customers often ask if it is quicker for them to place the order over the phone instead of online. We always tell them that orders placed online are received directly in the warehouse and are often picked, packed and ready for despatch quicker than our sales team can actually generate a telephone order and get the paperwork to the warehouse floor. The delivery time expectations shown in the table above are based on orders received directly online and they will always take precedent. 

Christmas Closing 2024

 

Last Deliveries prior to Christmas will leave us on 19th December.

Orders will be collated during the Christmas/New Year period and despatched upon our return on 2nd January 2025

If your delivery address is in one of the following areas you can check the table below to see the surcharge that will need to be added to your order should you wish to proceed.

Unfortunately, our system isn't clever enough to configure this at point of placing the order so you will still only see the standard charge when placing your order

Upon receiving your order we will email you with a request for the surcharge amount. At this point you are free to cancel the order and we will refund all monies paid up to that point. 

We hope that the surcharge doesn't put you off, we're not gaining financially, we're simply recouping the amount we are being charged by the relevant courier company.

International Deliveries

We are able to transport consignments to all international destinations.

Should you require this type of service please continue to place your order online but disregard the stated delivery charge. Upon receipt of an international order we will make contact with you and quote the freight costs to you and we will only proceed once we receive firm confirmation from you. When placing order please opt for the 'payment via BACS' option during the checkout process which will mean you won't have to leave your credit card details.

Once the order and freight costs have been agreed, payment will be required by way of direct bank transfer

Most international consignments will reach the intended destination within 3-5 working days after receipt of payment
