Powder Coated Cast Aluminium Guttering – Information Page
The Angel Plastics range of cast aluminium gutter will make your property stand out from the rest. You really will not be able to tell the difference between cast aluminium and cast iron. The product is manufactured from original sand moldings which gives the textured and unique feel of this authentic rainwater system.Plus points compared to Cast Iron:-
- Lighter in weight than cast iron
- Virtually maintenance free, fantastic look
- No painting required
The cast aluminium system really fits together beautifully due to the socket/spigot connections. Quite simply one interlocks into the next section with a bead of our aluminium gutter sealant for added flexibility.
Just choose your colour in the RAL colour range
The Angel Plastics Profile Range:-
Half Round Aluminium Gutter
Our half round gutter system is available in the following sizes:-- 100mm opening x 44mm depth
- 112mm opening x 49mm depth
- 125mm opening x 53mm depth
- 150mm opening x 60mm depth
The system can be fitted onto open timber rafter feet using our unique angled rafter bracket as shown or by simply screwing onto the fascia board using the fascia bracket also as shown.
All visible bolts that join the gutters together will be powder coated to match the gutter colour to give a neat overall appearance.
Victorian Ogee Aluminium Gutter
Quite simply, as the name suggests this profile of cast aluminium guttering has been in circulation for many years and there are many thousands of miles of it around the county rotting away in cast iron. These gutters are now coming to the end of it’s useful life and replacement in powder coated aluminium is the best way forward.
The Angel Plastics range of Victorian ogee rainwater is a faithful reproduction of that bygone era.
Our Victorian Ogee gutter is available in the following sizes:-- 100mm opening x 51mm depth
- 112mm opening x 57mm depth
- 125mm opening x 65mm depth
Direct fix or Fascia Bracket Fix?
This profile of gutter comes pre-drilled through the back edge of the gutter so that it can be directly fixed onto the fascia board and as such no fascia brackets are required. However, profiled aluminium fascia brackets are available should you still wish to fix like the half round gutter.
No 46 Moulded Ogee Aluminium Gutter
This profile should not be confused with Victorian ogee. The No 46 moulded ogee is a much deeper gutter than the Victorian ogee and has a flat back and flat bottom. the front edge incorporates the famous ogee moulding as you can see in the picture.
Direct fix or Fascia Bracket Fix?
This profile of gutter can is also designed for the direct fix method. However, unlike the Victorian ogee which can be fixed directly through the back of the gutter, the No46 moulded ogee requires the use of ‘Direct Fix’ wedges. These small wedges need to be fixed at the rear of the gutter to straighten the back otherwise the gutter will appear slanted on the fascia board.
You can of course yet again use fascia brackets if you so wish.
Available sizes in this ogee profile of aluminium guttering are:-
- 100mm opening x 75mm depth
- 125mm opening x 100mm depth
- 150mm opening x 100mm depth
Beaded Half Round Aluminium Gutter
The angel Plastics range of beaded half round gutters are the modern equivalent of the standard half round system. The front and rear edge incorporates the bead which is used for clipping on the fascia brackets. This type of gutter is again mainly used for the domestic market.
Sizes available in this profile are:-- 100mm opening x 47mm depth
- 120mm opening x 52mm depth
- 135mm opening x 56mm depth
The beaded half round gutters are fixed in the same way as the half round system by using either fascia brackets or rafter brackets if fixing onto open timber rafter feet.
